A two-phase villa renovation in Jumeirah Village Triangle residential district executed with a clear objective to transforming an existing residence into a deeply calming, tactile, and personalized retreat. Guided by a design philosophy where every detail is highly considered, the project balances soft minimalist tones with material warmth.
The first phase started on the living room and children’s bedroom, leaning heavily into a refined Japandi aesthetic. Here, structured vertical oak slats introduce architectural rhythm and depth, anchored beautifully with Calacatta stone surfaces. The palette is intentionally quiet, layered with soft linens and raw jute to establish an earthy tone.
The second phase, required the renovation of the entrance hall, kitchen, and lounge area, introducing a complementary modern Scandinavian style. Light floods these open spaces, highlighting crisp architectural lines and custom timber installations that maintain a seamless continuity with the initial phase.
The resulting interior achieves a balance between form and comfort. By eliminating visual noise and emphasizing bespoke, crafted elements, the villa feels effortlessly curated, following a "nothing more, nothing less" to deliver a soft minimalism.
